My truck was not serviced in a timely manner. I brought it in on Wednesday January 24,. I left messages for the service manager to call me. He didn’t respond to my requests. It was after I complained to the sales person on Friday the 26th that I they made some progress on fixing my truck. The issue is not completely resolved. So I’m not satisfied with the service I received.

I had a whining noise coming from the engine bay that was driving me crazy. I made an appointment and brought my 2020 Sierra truck in. I was greeted by Ralph, who took one listen and determined it was the idler pulley. Fortunately, I had the extended warranty and this repair cost me nothing. Also, the work was done very promptly. I commend Gerry Lane GMC for their courtesy and professionalism. You da man, Ralph!!

Brought truck in for oil&filter change. Had tire pressure sensors bad ask them to change them. Service took my truck at 07:30, expected them to take a little bit longer. 11:00 checked on progress service man said sensors were bad and they had the parts. Told them to replace sensors (second time). 12:00 checked on progress, was told they took my truck off the rack without changing sensors, to put a car to change tires. Told them to give me my truck. Talk to service manager about extended wait time and not completely finishing job. Very disappointed with the service . My second truck from Gerry Lane since 2018.

Communication between me and service providers was awful. I called more to get updates or just a reminder. I was given several different persons who seemed to know little about my situation. One person placed me on hold for nearly 30 minutes. For 2 and 1/2 months, I was without a car and the rental rates were ridiculous. I am a retired teacher and I couldn’t afford a rental for such a long time. 😔

I brought my car in on a Monday 1/2/24, a technician was assigned on 1/4/23. I called on 1/5/24 and the technician still had not looked at it, after complaining it was finally looked at. Many calls, on 1/16/23 finally got to talk to someone (Ralph) he tells me my car has not been worked on yet but the part is in. He was able to get another technician to replace the part and I picked up my vehicle that day. I was also getting a recall replace (heated steering wheel that I should have had when I purchase May 2022.) I haven't heard anything on that as of today. I am giving 2 stars because of Ralph doing everything in his power on 1/16/23. I was in a rental and having to pay for it my self. The sad part is that I owned a Buick Enclave prior to this and my other vehicle had to have the same thing replace ( a broken or poor weld with lack of penetration on the Bank 2 exhaust ex pipe bracket)

Firstly, I commend the outstanding communication from my service advisor, Scott Saxon. His friendly demeanor and the daily updates on my truck's status are much appreciated. Scott Saxon's dedication to keeping me informed contributed immensely to the positive experience with my service advisor. Second, The repairs on my truck took from Tuesday til Friday to repair my vehicle, and I was told twice, “You should have made an appointment for service.” I want to bring attention to a significant concern regarding the nature of the service for my truck. When the truck's speed is reduced to 45 mph, waiting for a scheduled appointment becomes impractical and poses safety risks, especially when towing an RV or a heavy load. The urgency of the situation makes it challenging to adhere to appointment schedules. I believe there may be an opportunity to reevaluate the approach to handling urgent service needs in such cases, ensuring the safety of drivers in these circumstances. I understand that the diesel mechanics shortage at dealerships is an issue. Third. Last year, my truck had to have all eight injectors replaced due to water intrusion from a poorly designed fuel filter on this truck, which, in my opinion, should be recalled for a better design. I passed on all this information to the service manager and GM but never heard a word about it. So, in short, what is the point of the customer feedback if the Dealer is not following up on it? In summary, while I commend Scott Saxon for their excellent communication, the challenges I faced with repair duration and safety concerns need attention. Additionally, the lack of follow-up on previous feedback, such as the issue with my truck's injectors, leaves me questioning the effectiveness of the feedback process. It is crucial for the dealership and manufacturers to receive and actively address and communicate resolutions to customer concerns. Meaningful follow-up on customer feedback is essential for building trust and ensuring ongoing improvement in service quality.

I had an appointment, so it cut out my wait time. I have in the past arrived without an appt and had to wait 4 hours.. this time others were there with no appt and they had been waiting hours. In order to streamline the process, I would recommend appt only unless it was a vehicle emergency. I think it would cut down on customer frustration.
