I was in for a new set of tires. Had an appointment at 11am on 5/9. I dropped the vehicle off and went to run errands, never heard back from service department. At about 1:30pm, I passed by the dealership only to find my vehicle still sitting in the same spot where I left it with no new tires installed. I was irate when I went into the service department only to find out that the service people thought the tires I had ordered weren’t there. I asked them so what was the plan, just to let my vehicle sit there until… when? After talking to several service department members, a manager was listening and I told him the type of tires I had ordered and he insisted he and I go to the back place eyes on the tires. We did that and the tires were there. They hurried my vehicle to the back to begin tire installation. When I went to pay, the invoice price was wrong, so a service member had to help correct that. When I drove the vehicle home, I felt a vibration. I ended up contacting service department and having to bring it back in to have the tires rebalanced on 5/12. In the end I was satisfied, but I have been a customer at Gerry Lane for many years, bought several vehicles there and never had the confusion I had with this visit.

Our vehicles, (at least 7), have been purchased from Gerry Lane because my husband and myself have liked the service. My salesperson, Jeffrey Levite, for my newest vehicle, the GMC Acadia did an excellent job. I was recovering from surgery and wasn't able to commit to buying a car right away, but he called me several times to see if I was ready to come in or if I had any questions. After purchasing my Acadia, I had problems establishing this new vehicle with my existing GM account and though it took several phone calls on different days to resolved the problem, my salesperson Jeff consistently was calling or texting me to see if I had made headway. That is a loyal salesperson to follow through. With the several people I talked with from OnStar and GM, they all did an excellent job in helping to get everything straight. Fuel module went out and left my wife stranded. Service read the codes, unhooked the battery, and hooked it back up. Then said they were done. This is an issue i had with our old 2021 yukon, and now our 2024. Every time they just reset it, it leaves her stranded again. So not looking forward to having to get the call that she’s stranded again, since the part didn’t actually get changed out. (Not a dealership issue, its a GM issue because thats what the TSB said to do, just still not a reasonable answer for a $90,000 vehicle)

I first wanna say the people there is great. I purchased my new car the end of May 2024. I brought the car in cause I noticed mildew under the floor Matt. I noticed it a lil over a month before, could have been there longer cause I didn’t move the floor Mat, I just noticed some white looking substance high behind the gas pedal. Saw it said to myself, what is that mildew? Thought maybe a lil water leak somehow, but I’ll check it out a lil further. Put extra floor mat down over original mats that comes with the car. Never moved original mats. Over a month or so later I went to car wash to vacuum and clean car. When I noticed the mildew again, I said let me pull original mat up to see if mildew is under it as well. Pull the mat up and there was mildew from the top of the floor to the bottom of the floor where you sit your feet. I called the dealership because whatever it is, it shouldn’t be leaking for one but to have that much mildew was something serious. I touched to carpet floor and some was fresh wet and some was hard dry. Which tell me, this can’t be water, but I don’t know what it is. This is a new car and needs attention. Made appointment and brought car in on Memorial Day 2025 to get checked out. That evening they called and said a crack in the hvac housing and they gonna need to keep it for 3-5 days. I was given a rental. 3-5 days turned into 9 full work days. After picking my car up I asked actually what housing was cracked and what was the substance leaking. I was told Freon. They had to change the carpet as well due to the leak and the mildew. For how long this leak took place, was it leaking from the time I bought the car, I don’t know. I do know I saw the mildew above the gas pedal for a few months already. How long have I been driving this new car that should not have anything wrong with it, especially something as dangerous as a Freon leak inside the car. As I thought about it being a Freon leak, I said wait that is dangerous to be around and especially inhale. I’m in a close up car for months,. I looked up the dangers and symptoms and omg. I have been inhaling this for months that I know for sure and maybe more. Which now I know why I had to go the the ER a month ago for my throat, confusion as to why my throat had me gagging and throwing up, cause I thought something was in it, but it was swollen etc. For months I’ve been waking up it the middle of the night gasping for air many times, which is how I went to the ER about throat. As I tried to drive later that day. I had to pull over several times to gag and came back home cause I didn’t know what was going on. Next day was the ER day cause my throat had a lump in it, I didn’t know what was going on. Persistent coughs through some nights and the gasping for air nights. Went to ENT about the throat also cause it was still bothering me with this lump. I told doctor about the throat and gasping for air. He mentioned something about acid reflux, but no never had it. Never been to a ENT ever or an ER in I know more than 20 years. During this time a before I had a bad case of diarrhea. As I okay the last few months back in my head, I remember more unusual things going on. My contacts needed changing more often, my ears eye and nose are itchy with a lil burn sensation. Headaches, never get headaches, but I was getting headaches to where I need medicine to help it go away. Short of breath sometimes. Wondered why I was short of breath and I was doing anything. All these things been happening to me that I know for sure, for the pass few months and still dealing with some of these issues. I could go on, but you get the picture. I called yesterday as to why they only changed a part of the housing and not all of it for future car possible issues, especially another Freon leak. My anxiety is through the roof , because this is a serious problem and my health and life is on the line. I don’t know how this affected my health especially down the line. I’ve been inhaling this for months, maybe longer and maybe since I bought the car. I keep a new car so I don’t have to deal with issues. I asked if this has happened to other cars and he said yes a few, but not to the extreme like mine of having to replace the carpet as well. My concern is my health and what damage has it cause and will there be future damage from this Freon leak on a new car. Not an old car from wear and tear.

I would never purchase a used car from this dealership. I have been driving my car for about a year now maybe longer. My car started making some noise near the rear tire only one side. Me not knowing anything about cars continued to drive it thinking it may have been the struts. I’m like I’ll take care of it when I can. Needless to mention when I got the car my brother kept telling me to bring the car back bc something is wrong near the back tire like the car had a wreck, and something is off it don’t look right by they rear tire area on the driver side. I continued to keep the vehicle just happy to have reliable transportation. Come to find out the noise was from the rear suspension cradle being damaged technically off the car.cradle So, took the car to dealership thinking my warranty would pay for it nope. But during the process the guy is question me asking what was wrong with the car I tell him. The guy is making it seem like my warranty wouldn’t pay for it if it’s my fault but he see no damage to the vehicle where I hit anything. Then he continues to tell me well we won’t be able to get to it today. Needless to say Jerry Lane had me lease already damaged. They wanted to charge me 1000 for the part and 2000 for parts and labor that’s just estimates for something they already knew was damaged bc they sold it to me that way. Told them don’t worry I’m coming get my car. Took it to a shop the guy pulled the wheel off he said this car been wrecked before. I told him I haven't been in a wreck in it but it may have happened before I got it. I was puzzled when he asked me that bc I just left the dealership and when the guy called about the part he didn’t ask me that. They told me that they have the best mechanics like why that wasn’t detected like you see no damage to where I wrecked the vehicle. I know why bc the dealership don’t want to admit to it so they made it seem like the part was worn out. When I took it to the shop the guy said it was due to force that’s how he know it was wrecked before, and he never see it like that before.that’s when I start investigating they got the car from a auction where the car was dented in near the rear it was wrecked. The same side I’m having to replace the rear suspension cradle. In the car description it states that the rear suspension cradle need to be fixed. They sold me the car knowing this issue all they did was fix the body. Just a warning for everyone to be careful of what you purchase bc I also don’t believe it was the vehicle I test drove. It was the same make a model but different the equinox I drove had black seats with gold trimming. Needless to say the place is all over the place just a weird vibe the entire time. Three representatives and Aubrey was nice , but it’s a weird vibe may have been just me though. I thought this being the first car I have lease it has been a poor experience and I will not be doing it again. I should have just went to a car lot and got a used car as I always did , but I thought the dealership would be more professional and the car would be perfect, but it has been bitter sweet and I won’t be doing it again Orless it’s a vehicle never been used..On top of it all I had to pay 180 for the to inspect and they already knew what was wrong with it bc they sold it to me that way lol

To share my ongoing experience with the front-bumper alignment issue on my truck and the challenges I’ve faced with getting it properly repaired. When I purchased the new truck a couple days , I noticed that the front bumper was misaligned. I contacted the dealership and scheduled an appointment. On the day of the appointment, the truck was there at 7:00 a.m. After waiting most of the day, I was informed at 1:30 p.m. that the repair couldn’t be completed that day because they would need the vehicle for the entire day. I then scheduled a second appointment and dropped the truck off the night before to ensure they had it for as long as necessary. I received a call around 11:00 a.m. stating the work was done. When I arrived to pick it up, I saw that the originally misaligned part had been addressed, but other parts of the front end were still not properly aligned. Some components appeared to have been screwed in improperly, and plastic trim pieces were not clipped back into place. I immediately brought this to the attention of the service writer, who took the truck back into the service area. After about 30 minutes, he returned the vehicle to me and it looked to be in better shape. Unfortunately, just five days later, the plastic trim has started to pop back out again, indicating that the repair was either not done correctly or was only a temporary fix. I will now need to return the vehicle to the shop once more.

1. Customer Service was great. Friendly and inviting people, however................ 2, A major GMC dealer and service provider could not remove my aftermarket tires, I was told "They're not GMC tires and we don't have the tool to remove them for the tire rotation". I found this odd because the GMC dealership I purchased the truck at rotated the tires before I bought it. 3. The oil special was $69.95 that includes the oil change and tire rotation. Yet, because your service team didn't have the correct tools, I had to pay the $80 price, while still stating on my paperwork the rotation was done. 4. After leaving, I took my truck to Royal GMC and they were able to remove my tires and do a full tire rotation at the price of $40. 5. What was suppose to be a $69.95 oil change and rotate experience, turned into a $120 ($80 at Gerry Lane GMC + $40 at Royal GMC) because your service dept didn't have one tool. Conclusion: This was my first time at your dealership. While the customer service was exceptional, other than the one sly remark, at the end of the day customers have to TRUST their service provider. I am canceling my appointment for this Friday because if your service dept can't do the above simple task then I do not want them doing major mechanical repairs.

The headlight assembly needed to be replaced on my 2 month old truck with around 4000 miles on it. I came to the dealership to diagnose the problem, your service department ordered the necessary parts then i made an appointment to get the part replaced. During my initial visit to the service department, I was told that they could have my truck in and out of the shop in one day. Upon arriving to the dealership for my scheduled appointment an employee of the dealership told me they did not think they would be able to get it done in a day because of the aftermarket grill on my truck, the grill was put on before i took ownership of the truck, and was on there for my initial consultation and the follow up discussion to schedule the repair work. At no time prior to the day the work was performed was i told that there would be a $500.00 charge to remove the grill to perform the warranty work to replace the headlight assembly, it only cost $300 to install the grill. The employee from the service department told me that it took the technician 1.5 hours to remove it and 1.5 hours to put it back on. This is BS, there are 6 bolts that need to be removed to get the grill out of the way, i have removed the same style grill on previous vehicles, it is a 10-15 minute job. The fact that i had to pay several hundred dollars to get a part changed that is clearly a factory defect is ridiculous. I bought three vehicles from GerryLane in the past three years, needless to say i will not by any more vehicles from GerryLane GMC. I do want to say that the sales team and staff were a pleasure to deal with for every vehicle i purchased, but the service department will force me to do business else where. I realize that losing one customer will not matter to a large dealership such as Gerry Lane, i just figured i would let you know anyway. The $1000.00 i saved on the vehicle compared to the smaller dealership is not worth it, it appears all you are worried about is making the sale and not keeping repeat business. feel free to contact me if you which to discuss 225-718-1172

After 2 and 1/2 days of not hearing from the service department, I called and spoke to a manager who told me someone from service would call me that day and no one did. I called again the next day, spoke to the same manager…then someone called me back to let me know what was going on with my car. I brought it in with only 700 miles on it because the check engine light came on….less than 1 month old.

My name is Deena Baranco andI am writing to formally express my deep concerns and dissatisfaction with the recent service experiences I’ve had at your dealership. In July, I brought in my vehicle due to the check engine light being on. I was informed that the issue was a faulty mass air flow sensor, and that the part needed to be ordered. At that time, I also explained that I was hearing a knocking sound from the vehicle. A few days later, I was notified that the part and to be ordered. A few days later I was notified the repair had been completed and my vehicle was ready for pickup. After retrieving my vehicle, I asked a service representative if there was any paperwork I needed or that I should receive for the repair. I was told there was none, which I found unusual but did not question further at the time. I also noticed immediately that the knocking sound was still present. I called and explained that the noise could still be heard both inside and outside the vehicle. I was asked to bring it back in, which I did. I received a call shortly after stating that no sound could be heard and was told to pick it up. Upon arrival, I spoke with Bart, who stated again that no sound was detected. I requested that he accompany me on a drive around the dealership, during which we both heard the sound. He told me the noise was a normal sound from the engine fan. I left the dealership feeling unsatisfied, as the sound continued and became increasingly louder over time. Out of concern, I took my vehicle to another licensed mechanic and paid for a full diagnostic. I was informed that the issue was with the compressor. I contacted the dealership to relay this information and dropped my vehicle off again. When I arrived at the service area, I explained the issue to an employee who said he would return shortly. After waiting in my vehicle approximately 20 minutes with no follow-up, I went inside to inform someone that I needed to leave and that my keys were in the vehicle. Later that day, I received a call stating that once again, no noise was heard, but they would write it up as the A/C not blowing cool—despite the fact that it had been working fine when I dropped it off. I was then told that after further inspection, a team member checked under the hood and noticed the compressor was “starting to melt.” I find it extremely concerning that this was not detected during the initial visit. I was called the next day and informed that the compressor was on backorder and I could take my vehicle home until it arrived. I was also told that the A/C was no longer blowing cool—again, something that was not an issue when I dropped off the car. On Tuesday, August 19th, I was notified that my vehicle was ready, and I picked it up the following day. I then left town, so the vehicle remained parked until Saturday. Upon returning and driving the vehicle, I noticed new issues: when coming to a complete stop, the car required me to press the gas pedal all the way down before excelerating, and when it did there is some hesitation and jerking. Additionally, the auto stop feature no longer works. The vehicle no longer shuts off when at a stop. These problems were not present before the most recent repair. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had concerns about the honesty and integrity of your service department. During a previous visit for an oil change, I was brought a cabin air filter and told it had been removed from my vehicle and needed replacement. However, I had personally replaced that filter shortly before the appointment and knew it was not from my car. As a customer, and particularly as a woman, I feel that I have been misled and taken advantage of. Each visit seems to result in a new issue, and I can no longer trust that repairs are being handled honestly or competently. I am also concerned that issues are being created to bill the warranty provider. As a result, I will no longer be bringing my vehicle to your dealership for any service—routine or otherwise. I would rather pay out of pocket to have work done elsewhere with the confidence that it will be handled properly and ethically.

Well, Jason Leigh was the salesman and he was excellent! He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with everything. But, I wasn't to pleased with Quinton in the finance department. He automatically added the contracts before asking me if I wanted them. It's like you're being taken advantage of, which I don't appreciate at all. The customer should be present with the finance rep., and asked whether they would like to purchase the contracts before hand, other than assuming. He acted like 8.99 was the best rate offered until I called my salesperson (Jason) and told him I wasn't satisfied. My family always purchase from Gerry Lane Buick and never had a bad experience. I wish there was more people like Jason Leigh!

Upon receiving my vehicle back it had grease on the drivers door armrest and steering wheel. It also had grease smeared on passenger side front fender where someone was leaning against it. When the car was dropped off it had just been detailed the day before and was spotless. I had to spend 45 minutes of my time when I got home to clean it. The poor attention to detail was not impressive with my 90k vehicle.

My scheduled appointment was 10 AM on 09/24/25. I arrived at 09:20 and a gentleman check me in with the understanding that i was going to wait. Two hours later (noon) when checking on the delay; was told that their was a back up. I had not received any communication at that point. When given my keys i was told that my vehicle was out front. I could not find it, even when pressing the emergency horn. After inquiry, someone took my keys and went in the back of the shop to retrieve the vehicle. I brought my 2026 Buick Encore in because the start/stop feature was not working properly. I took my vehicle in on a Wednesday morning and went to see if they had looked at it around 5:30 p.m. and no one had even made a ticket for it and they had a time trying to even locate my vehicle. I had to leave the vehicle over night. Thursday they still had not made a ticket. I had to act up a little and final go a kind young lady to help me and she gave me a loaner vehicle and make sure everything was take care of. However, I did not get my vehicle back until Friday. I just expected more. I hope I don't have the same kind of problems when I go in for an oil change. It seemed very chaotic in the service department.

Brought my 2022 GMC in for transmission issues was told it was a module and price was 422 and that it would be quickly repaired same day bc part was in stock called back the next day bc I didn’t receive a call only to find out the price I gt was only for parts and the labor would be an additional 500 I was not prepared to pay that price and I feel that price should have been honored bc that’s what I paid . Will never shop there again if you quote a price you honor it!

Frist visit for AC not cooling - the AC compressor was replaced and other AC work was performed (~$3,700). Second visit for AC not cooling and the high side shrader valve was replaced (additional $676.91). Third visit next week because the drivers side two air vent is blowing warm air and passenger side two vents is ice cold.

It was my first oil change and tire service and it was the worst. I had an appointment for 8am didn’t get my keys back until 1pm for my oil NOT to be changed. It was the worst and all they say they were sorry but no supervisor could make sure my service was complete. The guy who brought my truck to be changed the oil but not sure if my fluids were topped off. I didn’t even receive a print out of service.

I had a issue with my 2023 sierra SLT 3 days earlier on 10/24/25 I brought it in to the service department explained to the service agent what happened the night before I stop for 45 minutes then got back in my truck and would not start like the battery had died so i jumped it off made it home on10/24/25 came into the service they tested my battery and told me the battery passed the test it was good so they scheduled me to come in on 10/27/25 @ 8:00 am I arrived there pulled inside the service lane service agent checked my truck in he tried to start it up the battery died again like three days earlier they jumped it off took it to the back to troubleshoot the issue it was late on 10/28/25 when I was told the battery was the problem I was very frustrated and upset for the time it took to diagnose the problem if that is true issues with the truck I had already started looking for another vehicle I don’t trust what I was told with no evidence to support the issue what’s killing the battery.

Well, I had it towed one Friday afternoon. Called Monday and they couldn’t confirm that they had even received the vehicle. Told me to call the Chevy dealership. Finally called back and they had found it. Then it was another 3 days before I called back and offered to walk out there with their portable diagnostic pad to plug into the truck to read the code. Within 2 hours of this call, they had read the code, identified that it was a back ordered part and had me a car ready to rent at Hertz. At this point I’ve been without wheels for 6 days. After the 10 days of the complimentary rental car, I returned it. Called for an update. No ETA on the part. They called me a week later, still no ETA. Finally, mentioned it to my co-worker whose husband is a mechanic at a private shop and he offered to see what he could find out on the part. He calls to tell me that All-Star was sitting on 7 of them!! I call and tell Gerry Lane this info and miraculously, my car gets the part and is ready for pickup a month after it got there. What blows my mind is that they could have searched harder for the part, first of all. But, surely the amount they spent in rental car fees surpasses what was necessary for this $30 part! Next time, I will take it to a private mechanic.

There honestly isn't enough room to write everything down in this box. 1st of all, I don't think my vehicle was properly fixed earlier this year, which caused the issues this past month. Nothing got done until Brian stepped in, and that is very unfortunate. My vehicle was in the shop for more than 2 weeks. I lost valuable time and money that I can't get back. I understand things happen, parts are delayed, but there were no updates unless I called. In addition, the dealership wasn't able to properly diagnose the issue without contacting GM. At the end of the day, I didn't feel valued as a customer. I will have to think long and hard about whether I can trust Gerry Lane Buick to work on my vehicle. Brian was very helpful and seemed trustworthy, but so much damage was done. I don't know if I can trust this place again.

I booked an appointment online and typed everything that I needed fixed along with an oil change. Set at the dealership for 3.5 hours for an oil change and tailgate recall. I asked online to fix my windshield wiper switch because it doesn't work and look at why my onstar doesn't work. After such a long wait I was told my truck was complete. I paid for my service and took off. After driving I noticed that the windshield wipers still didn't work and the onstar still didn't work. I called and they said that I would have to make an appointment for that work. The windshield wipers not working is very dangerous and I'm not very happy that I already had this scheduled and didn't get the work done

Extremely bad GM dealership. The service department is very incompetent and it appears that the management is too. Very unprofessional dealership that will never see any vehicle of mine ever again. I had an appointment to drop the vehicle off at 7:00 AM. The service bay doors were not opened until 7:15 AM while the service techs all sat around doing nothing. When I did get in, the service writer could not find any information about the appointment and had to manually enter my information. I hesitantly left the vehicle. I called several times and was told there were no service writers available to take my call, so I asked to speak to a manager and was also told no managers were available. I finally had to go to the dealership to get my vehicle and was told there would be a $150 diagnostic charge, which was never mentioned. Luckily I had my spare key fob and was able to get my vehicle away from there. When I did get into my vehicle, there was a half a cup of coffee sitting in the cup holder. And I would like to get my key fob back that they refused to return. Thank you Chris Artall

I was there to get 2 new tires that I was charged for months ago and did not receive. We were told that they were unable to get the tires and they’d call us when they came in. While we were waiting on the tires, my car started having other problems and was at the service department at another dealership for weeks because I had lost confidence in Gerry Lane because of the way I was treated. While my car was with the other dealership, my husband got a call stating that the tires were in. He made an appointment to have the tires put on. I brought the car in and my visit went well into the night (the night of your Christmas party) because the machine that puts the tires on suddenly broke. They had to bring my tires next door to the Chevrolet shop to use that machine to put my tires on the rims. When the tires were finally put on my vehicle and service was complete, they tried to charge me again for the tires. I noticed that the amount was 200.00 less this time than what I was initially charged, but I was so annoyed, i didn’t even address that. A manager quickly got involved because he was standing right there and resolved that issue. I then left, but had to return because they forgot to give me my wheel lock. My consultant insisted it was the correct one, but my husband says it’s not, so they gave me someone else’s. I hope I don’t have any issues on my next oil change and tire rotation or have any emergencies before my next appointment. I began using Gerry Labe service because I felt that the service department where I purchased the vehicle was sub par. When I first started going to Gerry Lane, the service was great. I’m not sure what has happened in the last few months, but I no longer have confidence in the service department. I hope they can fix whatever’s broken.

My vehicle is having issues with the GPS system (the messages is Driver Assistance needs Servicing). I dropped my truck off on the morning of Dec. 9 and left it overnight for the repair. When I picked it up on the afternoon of Dec. 10, the same message was given and the issue was not resolved. I was told they did some service recall, which is fine, but that is not why I brought it in. I scheduled a return trip Dec. 17 to have the issue addressed. I was there from 8 am until noon but I had to leave for a business meeting and nothing was done. I schedule a third visit to allow more time. I dropped the truck off on Dec. 30 and picked up one week later on Jan. 6. Nothing was done. I was told the part needed was on back order, which is fine, but I should have been told that ahead of time so I would not be without my truck for a week. The service technician was very nice but this has been an extremely frustrating series of events. Fortunately this issue does not affect the truck's operations. I will just have do to without this amenity and feature on this truck.
